Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our finance team that is responsible for multiple companies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the accounting operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Coordinate and complete annual audits.
Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce financial reports and statements.
Manage 401k Plan.
Assist in budget preparation and financial planning.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and support.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) certification required.
Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis.
Experience with financial reporting software and ERP systems.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
